"Forms" derive from the fundamental natural range of movements which have been integrated for self-defence purposes, and have also traditionally been acknowledged to be contributing to overall relaxation, meditation and well-being.
Forms in the Emin Boztepe Martial Arts System Wing Tzun system are sets of movements that serve as catalogues or references to allow the EBMAS student to correct movements and positions.
They also help develop in the EBMAS student key attributes such as balance, relaxation, coordination, proper breathing, flexibility and strength.
Performance of the forms warms up and energizes the body, making the forms useful as warm-up exercises preceding more strenuous training. The forms do not represent simulated fights or set combinations and should be performed in a smooth and relaxed manner.
In Emin Boztepe Martial Arts System there are four empty hand forms used in Wing Tzun:
In Emin Boztepe Martial Arts System only two weapons are taught in EBMAS Wing Tzun System the Long Pole and the Bart Cham Dao and are taught only once the EBMAS student has Mastered the empty hand part of the Wing Tzun system.
